Introducing the Latest in Invisalign Technology for 2012
Our digital 3D scanner eliminates the need for uncomfortable and messy impressions previously needed for Invisalign treatment. The efficiency and accuracy of duplicating your teeth is increased exponentially resulting in better fit of aligners, more effective treatment, and better end results. Your 3D scan will be instantly uploaded to Invisalign reducing turnaround time by half - we'll get your case processed and back into our officer sooner!
Your Invisalign treatment will consist of a series of clear aligners that you switch out every two weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations to gradually shift your teeth into place.
What to Expect During Your First Consultation
During your first consultation with Dr. Zhu, an Invisalign Premier Provider, she will provide an oral evaluation and inform you as to whether Invisalign is right for you. She will also address any questions or concerns you may have.
After that, we will go over your total treatment fee, taking into account any dental insurance coverage you may have. Payments can be made on an interest free monthly basis or a discount can be given for payments in full.
Records & 3-D Digital Scanning
The next step would be to take a full set of "before" diagnostic records. This will be used to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. Initial records typically include digital panorex and cephalometric x-rays, and photos of the patient’s teeth.
After the initial records are taken, we will do a 3D digital scan of your teeth. The 3D scan will be instantly uploaded to Invisalign for the development of your custom aligner system.

Wearing your Invisalign Aligners
Once you receive your first set of Invisalign aligners, you will have to wear them at least twenty hours each day for maximum effectiveness. You will return to see Dr. Zhu every two to six weeks for fitting of your next set of aligners.
To properly wear your aligners, just match it over your front teeth and push them on – it should snap in.
To take them off, using your fingertips, gently push down on your aligners starting with your back teeth and work your way around to the front.
Retainers
Once your case is successfully completed, final or “after” records will be taken and retainers will be provided to you. Retainers are custom made for you and they help to keep your teeth in their newly corrected positions.
It can take up to 9 months for your periodontal ligaments to fully strengthen. You may have to wear your retainers full time during the first few weeks of finishing treatment – eventually you can wear them before sleeping at night. If you don't wear your retainer as instructed, there is a high chance that your teeth will eventually shift and all that time spent in treatment will be wasted.
